Frank Ocean has called off his scheduled performance at Coachella, which was initially planned for the following Sunday.
Frank Ocean :On Sunday, Ocean was the headline act of the music festival, which was his first live performance since 2017. However, his unconventional set disappointed several fans, particularly after it was curtailed owing to the midnight curfew at Coachella. Frank Ocean’s performance commenced almost an hour later than the scheduled time.
As per a spokesperson for the singer of “Blonde,” Ocean withdrew from the lineup for the second weekend owing to an injury.
The spokesperson verified with Insider that Frank Ocean had experienced two fractures and a sprain in his left leg, prompting a physician to advise that his Coachella performance be either shortened or canceled.
Additionally, the spokesperson mentioned that although Frank Ocean was unable to present the originally planned show on the previous Sunday, he was still committed to performing. As a result, the show was modified within a span of 72 hours due to exigency.
As per the statement provided, Ocean commented, “It was chaotic. Chaos has its own charm. Though it wasn’t my intended performance, I relished the experience of being on stage, and I hope to perform again for you soon.”
Onstage, he also referred to the performance as “fucking chaotic.” Nevertheless, according to Billboard, despite the criticism on social media, streams of Ocean’s music have surged since Coachella.
Ocean’s most recent music release was in 2022, when he put out two standalone singles, namely “Dear April” and “Cayendo.” He has not released an album since “Blonde” in 2016.
